Student Recreation Center Membership

BrochureThe college pays the fee for all current full-time regular employees and family members living in their homes and full-time retired employees and their spouses to enjoy a FREE membership to the Student Recreation Center.

Credit courses are available tuition-free to all current full-time employees and may also include a fee. See the CSI Catalog for all activity courses available.

You will need to have an Employee Application for Tuition Exemption signed by the HR Department for you and your family members and pay any associated fees for these classes.

If you wish to audit the course so your attendance and testing is not an issue with your work schedule, you will wish to register directly with the Office of Registration to to request the audit status.

Student Recreation Center Hours of Service

Find SRC hours posted online at recreation.csi.edu. Drop-in classes and courses are also listed on that site.

Drop-in fitness classes are FREE and provided throughout the year. During the school year we have run as many as 10 classes per week. In the summer there is a M/W/F 6:00 a.m. schedule of classes.

Circuit training and H.I.I.T. (High Intensity Interval Training) classes are offered in Gym Rm 236 on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings from 6 - 6:50 a.m. Team instructors are ready to help you accomplish your goals and give you the tools to succeed. Classes will have different levels of exercises so that every skill level will be successful.

Personal Training is available for $30 an hour ($40 for community members). 

Outdoor Recreation Trips, Programs & Rentals

Employee member enjoy a variety of free and discounted benefits through the Ourdoor Recreation Program.

  • Receive 50% off  the Outdoor Rec trips/programs we offer (Spring and Summer schedules attached). Trips are led by certified professionals in each area they lead.

  • Outdoor Equipment Rentals (prices and hours attached). Over $100K worth of equipment available!

  • CSI boasts the largest pole ropes course west of the Mississippi. The minimum cost is $160 for two hours.

    Built to accommodate groups from 10 to 300 in size, the course offers low elements from 12 feet to close to the ground, and high elements up to 50 feet. Each program hosted on the outdoor course is designed to approach learning in an extraordinary setting, building a foundation for transference of new skills, language, strategies, and knowledge into the workplace and daily living.

    Through the utilization of games, initiatives, and elements that are both physically and intellectually challenging, an enhanced awareness and/or constructive behavior change can result.

  • The Outdoor Program offers GREAT TOOLS for CSI departments to work on team building, communication, goal setting and more!

Jerome Recreation District Memberships

For employees, students and seniors living on the north side the College also pays a fee for access with a current valid ID card. Seniors that attend at least 50% of the Over 60 and Getting Fit program are allowed to continue using the facilities outside of class.

Our contract includes access to weights/cardio equipment, walking track and the gym during open gym times. Other programs that can be accessed but are not covered include an outdoor pool, various fitness classes and other types of youth and adult programs. Lots of special programs, camps, lessons and run/bike/walks exist throughout the year.
